Synchrotron radiation micro-computed tomography of the small-spotted catshark embryonic development (Chondrichthyes: Scyliorhinus canicula)
Attenuation-contrast synchrotron radiation micro-computed tomography images of PTA-contrasted small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula) embryos. All embryos were imaged with a 20keV photon energy and a sample-to-detector distance of 80mm. St.18-25 embryos were imaged with a field of view (FOV) of 3.29mm x 2.47mm and exposure time of 280ms. St.27-31 embryos were imaged with a FOV of 6.57mm x 2.70mm and exposure time of 80ms. Tomographic reconstructions were performed using a custom pipeline implemented in MATLAB and the Astra Toolbox for the PETRA III Imaging Beamline P05. The resulting reconstructed images had an effective isotropic voxel size of 1.28µm and 2.57µm for each FOV, respectively. Each folder contains the information for one single embryo. The naming of files is as follows: sample_name_32b.tiff for raw reconstructed files and sample_name_8b.tiff for pre-processed files.
